Acrifix 192 (Acrifix 1R 0192) acrylic adhesive or glue, is a reaction based adhesive glue that cures by chemical reaction, upon exposure to light or UV radiation. These adhesives are ideal for gap filling and area bonding. It provides a very strong bond and is generally weather resistant.
Typically used for gluing butt joints, area bonding, filler joints on furniture, displays, store fixtures, model building, repairs and DIY projects. Acrifix acrylic adhesives are intended for use on clear acrylics including Cast acrylic sheet, extruded acrylic sheet. The acrylic adhesives and glues can also be used on other clear plastics such as Polycarbonate, Polystyrene and Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB).

Prepare the parts to be bonded by degreasing the surfaces two with isopropyl alcohol. Internally stressed parts may need to be annealed
before bonding in order to avoid stress cracking. These stresses are usually found in extruded acrylic or injection moulded acrylic.
Fix the parts to be bonded in the desired position and apply suitable adhesive tape to hold the joint in place. Introduce the acrylic glue into the joint either directly from the tube or by a glue dispenser or disposable syringe, avoiding bubble formation. Then expose the joined parts to a suitable light source. Typical curing can be done by Fluorescent lamp Cool White: 15 –30 min or Sunlight: 10 –20 min. Ambient lighting can take between 1.5 hours and 3 hours.
1-Component polymerization adhesive. Clear, purplish viscous solution of an acrylic polymer in methyl methacrylate, which polymerizes on exposure to light.
